Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Candidate

I am currently expanding my expertise through advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, allowing me to further integrate psychiatric care with my background in primary care and women's health. I believe that mental health and physical health are deeply connected. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in science, with a focus on helping patients feel understood, empowered, and supported in their healing.

When I'm not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, and exploring the outdoors. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges and work toward greater health, resilience, and well-being.

Warmly,
Hala

Hi, I'm Hala. I want to take a moment to introduce myself. I understand that seeking mental health care can feel intimidating, and finding the right provider is an important step. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward lasting wellness. I believe healing starts with connection. Together, we'll explore what's affecting your well-being, build on your strengths, and create a plan that supports your health, goals, and the life you want to live.

My background combines mental health, primary care, and women's health. I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and completed training in Clinical Mental Health and Domestic Violence Counseling before becoming a Registered Nurse and later a Family Nurse Practitioner. My experience as a domestic violence therapist and mental health case manager continues to shape my trauma-informed, patient-centered approach.

As a Registered Nurse, I worked in labor and delivery, emergency medicine, endoscopy, and primary care, caring for patients through some of life's most challenging and meaningful moments. Today, as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I integrate behavioral medicine, mind-body wellness, and evidence-based care to support the emotional and physical health of individuals across the lifespan. I also have a special passion for women's health.

As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), I provide care for women through all stages of life, including contraception, perimenopause, menopause, and hormone therapy. I additionally help to address conditions such as PMOS (PCOS), obesity, and metabolic syndrome, recognizing the important connection between physical and emotional health.
