Adult ADHD Assessments

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, executive functioning, impulse control, and, for some people, activity level.

For many adults, ADHD wasn't recognized during childhood. Some developed systems that helped them compensate for years. Others began struggling when the demands of college, careers, parenting, relationships, or other life transitions exceeded the strategies that had previously worked.

At the same time, difficulty concentrating doesn't automatically mean ADHD.

Anxiety can make it difficult to focus. Poor sleep can affect memory and executive functioning. Depression can reduce motivation and concentration. Trauma can affect attention and emotional regulation. Hormonal and thyroid changes can influence cognition and energy.

A thoughtful evaluation helps us distinguish between these possibilities.

Whether the answer is ADHD or something else, you deserve clarity.
