frequently asked questions
What is your overall approach to determining if you can help someone?
My primary goal is to ensure you receive the most appropriate and effective care. This sometimes means that the best way I can help is by guiding you to a specialist or a level of care that is better suited to your current needs. I view this as a crucial part of my commitment to your well-being.
What conditions do you not treat?
My practice is built on providing deep, personalized outpatient care, and I am committed to honesty about what I can effectively provide as a solo practitioner. For your safety and well-being, I do not treat conditions that require more intensive, round-the-clock support. This includes:
Active opioid & stimulant use disorders.
Alcohol use disorder requiring in-patient detox
High, immediate risk of harm to yourself or others.
Recent psychiatric hospitalization (within the last six months) unless you are an existing client with a care plan already in place.
If you are seeking help for these concerns, my role is to compassionately help connect you with the specialized resources best equipped to provide the level of care you need.
